Pine-Scented ASUS F6V
ASUS has manufactured a $1599 laptop that, when unboxed, will release a pine scent. Apparently the scent doesn’t last long, because after a few hours, apparently you can’t really smell the pine…. iPhone 3G Unlocked by Dev-Team
For those of you who have been waiting eagerly to unlock your shiny 3G iPhones, it looks like this’ll be a late Christmas present for you. The iPhone Dev-Team has completed the 3G iPhone unlock, and plans to release it on New Year’s Eve, 2008. According to the Dev-Team, this will only work on “2.11.07 baseband or earlier”, and you must have a jailbroken iPhone to do it.

No $99 iPhone
The rumor of there being a $99 4GB iPhone has been confirmed to be false by multiple sources, however; there will most probably be a $2 price drop on the iPhone when it is sold at Wal-Mart….

Boygeniusreport.com apperently got a tip that Wal-Mart might sell a $99 4GB iPhone…. With a 2-year contract, of course, but BGR warns readers: “We’re not putting our stamp of approval behind this one….”
A hundred bucks is cheap, and I think 4 gigabytes (hardly anything after formatted) of space would definitely be worthy of that pricetag since the iPhone...

iPhone Firmware 2.2 Problems...
Many iPhone users have been complaining about the 2.2 iPhone update’s big problems. The problems include AppStore and Cydia/Installer apps disappearing, suddenly being unable to sync with iTunes, lost connectivity of WiFi, and weak 3G and EDGE signals. There have also been some strange errors….
In addition to that, iPod touch users have complained about the lack of Google Street...

Gmail Adds Themes.... Gets Exciting-er.
Gmail has done some interesting things lately, like Labs. But they just recently added a “Themes” tab, and I’m liking it. I was starting to get tired of the classic Gmail look… Check out the “Ninja” theme… :D
I haven’t been able to do the “snake” Lab yet… Gmail has refused to cooperate in that regard.

SBsettings(Cydia) for iPhone
BigBoss over at http://thebigboss.org/ has made a useful iPhone app called SBsettings. Swipe across the status bar at the top of the iPhone, and a special “settings” app with a dock and brightness controls, etc. appears. Not only does it make it easy to access commonly used controls, it works while you’re using an app.
Go and download it in Cydia (or on BigBoss’ website).
