LED Belt Buckle from Thinkgeek.com
One of the gadgets that was bestowed upon my for Christmas is an LED belt buckle from thinkgeek.com. You can program up to 6 different messages, and, although the task may be quite arduous, the result is surprisingly awesome. The red one (mine!) is $19.99, but, if red seems boring and unoriginal to you, coughing up $24.99 will get you the blue one. Not only did I get a belt buckle from...

Simple, Yet Awesome iPhone Dock
For those of you who have jailbroken your iPhone, I made this cool “BlueFade” dock, and I thought you’d like to see it in action (above) before using it. You can add it to a current Winterboard theme, or make it a standalone dock via an SSH client. If you don’t know how to do this, you need WinSCP (for Windows), and you can read Planet-iPhones’ tutorial on where to...

FMG-9 Machine Gun Flashlight
Magpul Industries revealed the FMG-9 at the Shotshow 2008, and I must admit that I want it for Christmas. The FMG-9 is a bulky flashlight at first glance, but if you need to get down to business, you fold it out into a machine gun. You can even take off the flashlight attachment and stick the folding machine gun into your back pocket. The sad part is that Magpul Industries isn’t going...

Pine-Scented ASUS F6V
ASUS has manufactured a $1599 laptop that, when unboxed, will release a pine scent. Apparently the scent doesn’t last long, because after a few hours, apparently you can’t really smell the pine…. Unfortunately, the ASUS F6V can’t be refilled, but there is a notice within the box explaining the scent; it reads as follows: Infused Scent Notice 1. The scent-infused...

iPhone 3G Unlocked by Dev-Team
For those of you who have been waiting eagerly to unlock your shiny 3G iPhones, it looks like this’ll be a late Christmas present for you. The iPhone Dev-Team has completed the 3G iPhone unlock, and plans to release it on New Year’s Eve, 2008. According to the Dev-Team, this will only work on “2.11.07 baseband or earlier”, and you must have a jailbroken iPhone to do it. ...

Import iTunes Store If Login=False Print "Fail"
Hello, my name is Messymeese. I am broadcasting on all RSS frequencies. If you are out there, if ANYONE is out there… I am sitting at my computer desk, telling you that, as of tonight, iTunes users are unable to login to their iTunes accounts…. I don’t know what’s up with Apple, but hopefully they’ll fix this. UPDATE: It started working again! :)

No $99 iPhone
The rumor of there being a $99 4GB iPhone has been confirmed to be false by multiple sources, however; there will most probably be a $2 price drop on the iPhone when it is sold at Wal-Mart….

Wal-Mart to Sell $99 4GB iPhone?
Boygeniusreport.com apperently got a tip that Wal-Mart might sell a $99 4GB iPhone…. With a 2-year contract, of course, but BGR warns readers: “We’re not putting our stamp of approval behind this one….” A hundred bucks is cheap, and I think 4 gigabytes (hardly anything after formatted) of space would definitely be worthy of that pricetag since the iPhone...

Old Snakey, Son of Gmail, Son of Google
I finally got “Old Snakey” up ‘n running. It’s great if you like old school, “simple” gaming, or if you like controlling a snake on top of Gmail’s logo. To enable “Old Snakey”, go to settings» General» Enable keyboard shortcuts » Save changes» Labs» Old Snakey» Enable» Save changes. Then go to your...

Gmail Adds Themes.... Gets Exciting-er.
Gmail has done some interesting things lately, like Labs. But they just recently added a “Themes” tab, and I’m liking it. I was starting to get tired of the classic Gmail look… Check out the “Ninja” theme… :D I haven’t been able to do the “snake” Lab yet… Gmail has refused to cooperate in that regard.

The Dev Team announced on their blog, http://blog.iphone-dev.org, that they had made some progress on the 3G iPhone unlock, but “nothing worthy of a party”. They also revealed to their readers that they haven’t actually started working on the 2nd Generation iPod touch jailbreak, but they said that they will get around to it “in the near future”. Here’s the...

Oh, Yeah, By the Way...
Hey, I’m Messymeese. I tend to waste time on the internet finding out fascinating crap about computers and the web. Due to this common dilemma, I now have this blog to tell ya’ things that have to do with technology that are out there in the second-to-final frontier: The World Wide Web. So, yeah, how ya’ doin’? ;) And yes, I am introducing myself on my 4th post…...

SBsettings(Cydia) for iPhone
BigBoss over at http://thebigboss.org/ has made a useful iPhone app called SBsettings. Swipe across the status bar at the top of the iPhone, and a special “settings” app with a dock and brightness controls, etc. appears. Not only does it make it easy to access commonly used controls, it works while you’re using an app. Go and download it in Cydia (or on BigBoss’ website).
